DIY $65 fireplace transformation

I ran across a picture of a fireplace on Pinterest. It appeared they had used some kind of white plaster to cover it. That’s all it took! The photo didn’t have details, but gave me the courage to give it a shot. I decided to do a German schmear on the stone. I have seen it done on brick a bazillion times and absolutely love it, but I questioned what it would look like on stone. Well… Here is how it turned out!
